Manchester United handed transfer blow over Jesse Lingard

Journalist Samuel Luckhurst has recently provided update on Manchester United's star Jesse Lingard. Luckhurst appeared on the latest episode of the Manchester is Red podcast and spoke about Lingard, providing an update about his future. He believes that it's 'strange' for the player not to have reported to the training ground by now.

"Jesse Lingard is a bit of a strange one because there have been some rumours that he might even get a new contract which I mean, funnily enough, I’ve not written that line because I don’t believe it myself.",  he said.   “But he’s not back in Carrington yet, which is a little bit peculiar even though he was with the England camp just before the Euros started, you’d have thought that he might be back at Carrington pretty soon.”

The fact that The Red Devils still haven't offered their star a new deal could be a good news for the Hammers, as they may be able to get Lingard's transfer for a cheaper fee. He had spent the second half of the previous season on loan at West Ham and impressed a lot.
