Manchester United handed Ruben Neves boost ahead of deadline day

Manchester United will reportedly try to sign Ruben Neves on transfer deadline day. The Wolves midfielder has been long linked with a move to the Old Trafford and now United are set to add yet another player to their squad. Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the names Red Devils reinforced their squad with. According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, United will try to sign Neves before the transfer window shuts at 11pm tonight. But, it’s also noted that with such little time left on the clock, a deal is unlikely.   Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also had his say, revealing Neves is the last name on their radar but again stating it’s not feasible at such a late hour.
“The only option for Manchester United in midfield is Ruben Neves, but as of now they have not reached an agreement with Wolves - there is nothing imminent,” he said on his Here We Go podcast.   “Let’s see if Manchester United will decide for something crazy in the final hours.   “My feeling is, after signing Ronaldo, [United] are happy with this [the business they’ve done].”
