Marcus Rashford is set be ruled out of six weeks: Who could be the replacement to the striker?

Manchester United are considering to sign a striker with a five-month loan deal in order to offset the absence of Marcus Rashford. The Red Devils' top scorer of the season suffered a stress fracture to his back playing against the Wolves in the FA Cup 3rd round replay on Wednesday. He was out of Sunday's Premier League clash against Liverpool and is possible to miss the Red Devils games for a minimum of six weeks. The club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested they might have sign a loan striker as Rashford's replacement: He told Sky Sports: "We’ve had many injuries for big players this season. It’s just an unfortunate situation we’re in. We might look at some short term deals as well that could take us through to the summer. We don’t desperately need a striker, if the right one is there and it fits for us… we’ve got players who are champing at the bit." Recenlty United have been in talks for Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Haaland. However, the deal failed as the striker decided to join Dortmund Borussia. He has made an astonishing debut for the Bundesliga side, netting a hat-trick against Augsburg on Saturday. Another player from the club's with-list is Borussia winger Jadon Sancho. The latter has been targeted by several European teams. However, United are more likely to sign the English professional during the summer transfer window. Now the Red Devils are linked with the possible move of Edinson Cavani. It could be huge contribution to the club's game as Solskjaer is looking for improving the squad. However, the club will decide to rely on their own players, giving the chance to Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard or Mason Greenwood. Martial is the second goal scorer of the season at Old Trafford and has a potential to improve the club game. Lingard may be given the chance in spite of his goalless season at the club. While youngster Mason Greenwood is likely to get more playing time. The 18-year-old has scored 9 times during his 27 appearances and could be in the line-up for Burnley clash on Wednesday night.
