Manchester United fans identify dream Champions League quarter-final opponent

Manchester United are in the Champions League quarter-finals and they will find out their opponents in the draw on Friday morning.

In a poll conducted on the Manchester Evening News website, fans were given the opportunity to vote for which team they would like the Reds to come up against next in the competition.

Of the 2,928 people who responded to the poll, 1812 (61%) of them said they want United to be paired with Porto in the quarters.

Ajax were the second most popular choice, with 444 (15%) of fans indicating that they would like to see a two-legged rerun of the 2017 Europa League final.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus were the least popular choice. Just 40 people (slightly over 1%) said they want United to take the Italian champions on again after coming up against them in the group phase.
