Manchester United eyeing deal for "the next Michael Ballack"

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid for Hoffenheim star Christoph Baumgartner, labelled as 'the next Michael Ballack'. The 21-year-old midfielder is enjoying a fine campaign and has starred for his club in the Europa League with two goals in the group stage. And, according to The Sun, United are tracking the youngster closely and are ready to make him a top target. But snapping up Baumgartner will most likely go ahead in the summer with a bid too soon in the current transfer window. His contract will expire in 2023 and his current market value of £16m is set to skyrocket after the season.
