Manchester United 'confident' of completing Jadon Sancho transfer despite coronavirus uncertainty

Manchester United remain "confident" that they can sign Jadon Sancho, despite the coronavirus pandemic halting negotiations with the Borussia Dortmund star. Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Sancho as his No.1 target this summer.  However, there is a feeling at Old Trafford that if they get Champions League football they will get their man. Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who broke news about United’s deal for Harry Maguire, recently spoke about the potential deal on Instagram, according to the Metro: "Manchester United have been in contact with Jadon Sancho’s agent for two months and are working on his contract. The coronavirus pandemic is making it hard to communicate with Borussia Dortmund. United are confident." However, despite the collapse of the transfer market, Dortmund wants at least €130m for Sancho. The winger wants to play Champions League next season and neither Manchester United or Chelsea can guarantee Champions League football next season. Sancho, who turns 20 today, has been in superb form again this season, with the player scoring 17 goals and creating 17 assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga side. Source: The Mirror
