Manchester United complete a £64m transfer deal for Napoli defender

Manchester United have reportedly completed a deal to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly with a deal over £60m. Koulibaly has joined Napoli from Genk in 2014, showing an impressive game both in Serie A and in the Champions League. He is one of the most sought-after defenders of the European football. The Senegalese international has been targeted by Tottenham, but according to reports, the Red Devils have already succeeded in the rush for signing the defender. Italian journalist Fabio Santini broke the news, and speaking on the TV show Il Processo he said: "Napoli will sell Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester United for a figure of around 70-75m euros. It seems all done. Naturally, such a deal will be closed only in June and certainly not in January in the winter transfer window." Koulibaly would hugely improve United's game in defence if moving to Old Trafford. He is likely to join the Red Devils until the summer.
