Manchester United chief Ed Woodward lifts lid on what really happened in Phil Jones exchange

Ed Woodward has claimed he was asking a Manchester United club official a question when TV cameras appeared to catch him 'telling off' Phil Jones. United slipped to a 2-0 defeat against West Ham earlier this month, but an incident in the crowd caught the eye of spectators. The Red Devils’ executive vice-chairman Woodward was seen turning around and making a stern comment while watching from the stands, while Phil Jones was sat behind him. "Phil was talking about whether decisions were offside or not," he explained in an interview with club fanzine United We Stand (via utdreport). "There was a foul and I turned around to Rebecca Britain, our club secretary [and said] Was that a yellow card on him? Diop?”
