Manchester United are reportedly in pole position to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele this January.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side wanted to improve their right wing position by signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, however, they failed.
According to Mundo Deportivo, United have positioned themselves to finally sign the 23-year-old playmaker when the winter transfer window opens next month.
The renowned Spanish news source have mentioned that the former Dortmund player will enter his last contractual year next year and that situation does not suit the La Liga giants. The report also claims that the Catalan club is trying to resolve his future by agreeing a new deal with him.
Since moving to Spain from Borussia Dortmund, the £215,000-a-week playmaker (The Sun) has spent majority of the time out injured and even last season, the Les Bleus star was mostly on the treatment table.
This season he started off well under the management of Ronald Koeman by directly contributing in 6 goals (4 goals and 2 assists) in as many starts.
