Manchester United break silence on Jesse Lingard future

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says, Manchester United are yet to decide the future of Jesse Lingard, as he competes for a first start since February. The 27-year-old last line-up for United against Club Brugge in the Europa League round of 32 first-leg clash. Solskjaer has not started Lingard in the Premier League since New Year's Day and the academy graduate last scored in the league in December 2018. Lingard is out of contract next year, though United have the option of an additional year. "He has come back after the lockdown with a smile on his face and loads of energy," Solskjaer said of Lingard. "Last week he fell ill for a couple of days but we have done all the tests and he’s fine. He will be involved against Norwich now. "Hopefully he can kick on. He has scored vital goals for us, and has been a vital player for us. Let’s see what the future will hold. At the moment he is looking really sharp and focused." Source: MEN
