Manchester United are close to completing a loan deal with Fiorentina to sign Sofyan Amrabat, as per Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old is scheduled to undergo a medical examination before finalizing the agreement. This deal includes a requirement for Manchester United to purchase Amrabat at the conclusion of the season.
The Moroccan midfielder, who had an impressive performance for his national team during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they achieved a fourth-place finish, has spent three seasons at Fiorentina, participating in 92 matches.
Notably, Amrabat was excluded from Fiorentina's squad for both legs of their Europa Conference League play-off against Rapid Vienna, a tie they won with a 2-1 aggregate score on Thursday.
Besides this upcoming deal, the Red Devils have secured the services of Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur and renewed the signing of Jonny Evans on a short, one-year deal.
