Riyad Mahrez's goal against Chelsea has moved the player closer to a Premier League milestone.
The 28-year-old is now one goal away from scoring his 50th goal in the competition and can become the first Algerian, the ninth African and 100th overall to reach the record.
Mahrez has scored seven goals in his debut season with the Blues against Watford, Everton, and Chelsea have pushed him ahead.
The City boss Guardiola considered him the best player of the opening weekend of this Premier League season in August, though the player had the opportunity to show his abilities during Chelsea clash.
