West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta has reacted to Bernardo Silva's latest performance for Manchester City following the Citizens' latest win over Bournemouth.
City secured a dominant 6-1 victory against the opponents at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League over the weekend. The defending champions displayed an impressive performance, with Silva standing out as one of the key players on the field.
The Portuguese attacker scored two goals during the match. He found the back of the net in the 33rd minute and then again in the 83rd minute. Playing in an attacking midfield role, he partnered with Julian Alvarez behind star striker Erling Haaland in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
Lucas Paqueta was notably impressed by Silva's performance, as evident from his Instagram post. The Hammers' star regards Silva as an ace.
There have been previous links suggesting that Paqueta could make a move to Manchester City. City made a £70 million bid to acquire the Brazilian playmaker from West Ham during the summer transfer window.
According to The Sun on Sunday, Paqueta is hopeful for a transfer to City and has an £85 million release clause in his contract that will come into effect in 2024. Furthermore, a report on October 21 from Football Transfers indicated that City still hold an interest in Paqueta and "admire" him, and they may consider making an approach once the FA investigation into alleged betting breaches concludes.
