The world, as well as the footballing world, have been hit with a rapidly spreading coronavirus due to which there is some uncertainty about what the future holds. Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest. The suspension means that fixtures may have to be moved beyond June, however, this can cause a problem as there are many players whose contracts end this summer.
