Manchester City join the race for Liverpool transfer target Thiago Alcantara

It has been reported earlier today by Sport1 that Liverpool have "already reached an agreement" with Thiago Alcantara are the ‘top interested’ club in the player. The player has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League for the past few months. However, according to SportBild via SportWitness, the "concern for Liverpool" now is that the Premier League rivals Manchester City have joined the race. It is claimed that Jurgen Klopp remains convinced about Thiago, however there are doubts whether the Reds could complete the signing due to financial situation. Liverpool are willing to pay maximum fee of around €30m and City are now "interfering the poker" and "are offering more". The reports suggests that Manchester City are looking for David Silva's replacement and they are "financially strong" enough to bring Thiago to Etihad. source - SportWitness Join us on Telegram
