Manchester City are set to be investigated by the FA over the deal to sign Jadon Sancho, who joined City from Watford as a14-year-old and has grown up to become a Borussia Dortmund sensation.
The FA are looking into allegations made by German newspaper Der Spiegel that City paid Sancho’s agent Emeka Obasi £200,000 for bringing the winger to the Etihad. The FA bans clubs from incentivizing moves for players under the age of 16.
A FA spokesman told
The Times: “We can confirm that we will be investigating the allegations.”
