Manchester City fans name perfect Angelino replacement amid Barcelona interest

Manchester City fans have named Sergio Reguilon as an ideal signing for the Blues if Angelino is sold this summer. Catalan giants Barcelona have joined the race for the left-back after he impressed on loan at RB Leipzig in the latter half of this season, playing a major role in the club's run to the Champions League semi-finals. The Citizens brought Angelino back to the Etihad in a cut-price deal from PSV Eindhoven last summer but he made just 12 appearances before being sent to Germany, and it's unlikely that he will return to the first team despite his performances in the Bundesliga. They are holding out for €30million for his signature with Leipzig keen to bring him back permanently but it is unclear whether he will return to the German club amid Barcelona's interest. New Blaugrana manager Ronald Koeman has identified the Spaniard as one of his transfer targets as he looks to turn the club's fortunes around and they have made their interest known to City. If Angelino depart then City will once again be left with two senior left-backs in the form of Aleks Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy, though Joao Cancelo did impress in the position towards the end of the season.
