Manchester City have confirmed that Raheem Sterling suffered an injury during Sunday’s defeat to Tottenham.
The player is set for a spell on the sidelines.
City confirmed he suffered damage to his left hamstring.
The England international will be unavailable for Sunday’s visit of West Ham United to the Etihad.
"Raheem Sterling will miss our game against West Ham this weekend after scans revealed he has suffered damage to his left hamstring," the club tweeted."Everyone at City wishes @sterling7 a full and speedy recovery."
According to the MEN, Sterling is likely to be out for two or three weeks. Thus, he could miss games against Leicester City and Real Madrid.
