Manchester City begin talks to sign £90m Real Madrid midfielder

Manchester City have begun talks to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to reports in Spain. The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour at Madrid since the appointment of Santiago Solari. Reports in Spain have claimed that Isco’s relationship with Solari is ‘completely broken’ and the midfielder was also booed by Madrid’s fans in the 3-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow. According to AS, City, who are long-time admirers of Isco have reignited their interest and have already made initial contact with the midfielder’s representatives. Isco, however, remains under contract with Madrid until 2022 and has a €700 million (£629m) release in his deal. AS report that Madrid would demand at least €100m (£90m) from City for Isco.
