Manchester City are prepared to pay Real Madrid’s valuation of Achraf Hakimi this summer, according to AS. The 21-year-old has impressed during two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea and Arsenal among the clubs linked with the player, but City have emerged as potential suitors. Pep Guardiola reportedly keen on bringing the full-back to the Etihad this summer.
City have spoken to Real about Hakimi and are willing to pay his £54million price-tag. But they face competition from Dortmund who are keen to extend the defender’s loan for a third season.
Hakimi has made 71 appearances and scored 12 goals in his two years in Germany. Guardiola is said to be a big admirer of his talents and sees him as a perfect reinforcement for his squad this summer.
