Manager reveals why Liverpool refused to allow Mo Salah to participate in Tokyo Olympics

Egypt U23 national team manager Shawky Gharib has opened up on the reason behind Liverpool's refusal of letting Mohamed Salah take part in the Tokyo Olympics. The Premier League club has refused to allow the attacker to participate in the upcoming Olympic games, that will take place from July 23 to August 8 this year. "The negotiations stopped because of AFCON. If it had been postponed, Salah would have played," Gharib said (via Anfield Watch). Then he added: "Salah wanted to participate in the Olympics, we were having informal contacts with him. Liverpool clarified for the Egyptian Football Association when Salah will be available."                         Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
