Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was sent home from international duty along with the Chile squad as the match against Peru was called off.
Chile's players decided not to play in the friendly as the country suffers from political protests and violent unrest. Protests began last month as a response to rising fares, high living costs and inequality in the country.
The Chilean FA confirmed the players had been told to be free and able to return to their clubs.
A statement by the Chilean FA said: "The players called up for the Chilean national team have decided not to play in the friendly against Peru, scheduled for next Tuesday, Nov. 19, in Lima.
The decision was taken by the squad after a meeting held this morning."
