Man City respond to Bayern Munich's latest transfer claims regarding Leroy Sane

Manchester City have dismissed claims made by Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that they are in talks with the Premier League champions about the £100million transfer of Leroy Sane. Guardiola said during City's tour to China last week that it was time for his former club to put up or shut up over Sane after declaring he wouldn't keep the player in Manchester if he was unhappy. A City senior source said: “We are not in negotiations with Bayern over Sane. We are talking to him about a new contract and not looking to sell. We have also had no offer of Alaba. That is totally spurious and we are well stocked at left-back.” The 23-year-old has two years left on his current deal and City are continuing to talk to Sane about a new contract.
