Man City boss Pep Guardiola has 'worst fears come to light' about Chelsea - Michael Owen

Michael Owen believes Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will have wanted to play any other team than Chelsea in the Champions League final. City and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head in Istanbul in just under three weeks. Chelsea beat City 2-1 at the Etihad on Sunday to delay their Premier League title coronation. Owen told Premier League Productions: "Do you know what? I think Man City are the best team, probably the best club team in the world at the moment. Best team in Europe. But the problem is, sometimes you meet teams that are just very, very difficult and they just don't suit you. And I think this Chelsea team are the most difficult team to play against at the moment. "Player for player I'd have City all day long. In terms of watching them I think they play a much better brand of football, I think they're fantastic. But, sometimes there's a fly in the ointment, one team could just not suit you. "If I was Pep Guardiola I would be 'give me anyone in the Champions League final bar Chelsea' - his worst fears have just come to light." Meanwhile, Guardiola insists the final will be a completely different game to the last two matches against Chelsea. "We have 21 days [before the final]," Guardiola told reporters. "We will see what happens in the final. It’s a different competition, we are going to try to play this game, we will analyse and play the final, which is a dream come true for us. Chelsea have been there many times, it's the first time we will be there. We are going to approach it in the best way possible."
