Lucas Torreira’s funny response amid comparisons with Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira

Arsenal player Lucas Torrera has opened up on being compared with Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira. The summer signing from Samporia, who has become a firm fan favourite has lately been compared to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira by Martin Keowen. "Lucas Torrerira goes 360 degrees," Keown said on Football Focus. "He doesn't go back to the defenders. He wants to pass it forward. He's a midfield player. "Like I had with Vieira, he never gave it back to me because he knew I couldn't do anything with it, but he wants to play. "They all break from there." And Torreira’s response to the comparison was very funny. "If the fans are comparing me and my game to Patrick Vieira, that's amazing. It makes me very proud but I need to grow a bit before I can be as tall as him!" Torreira told Sky Sports. "But he's an amazing player, I remember getting up in the mornings in Uruguay to watch him. I feel very happy and am looking to help the team. "I'm trying to improve as a player and do what's best for the team. Right now we're doing very well so it's just about doing that." The former Sampdoria player has impressed with his performances since his first start of the season in the Europa League against FC Vorskla and continues to be one of Unai Emery's key players.
