Rodrigo Bentancur has named his favorite stadiums he has ever played so far.
The player admitted Manchester United’s Old Trafford is the away stadium that ‘impacted him the most.
The Uruguayan joined Spurs in January 2022 from Juventus on deadline day and turned into one of the most important players for Antonio Conte’s squad.
However, speaking via Football London, the 24-year-old dropped some of his favorite ground names:
“Tottenham’s is the stadium that has impacted me the most so far, but for an away stadium I would say Manchester United’s. It’s an incredible venue that has a lot of history.
“I played there also for Juventus, but playing there for the second time with Spurs, I could see that it is a very beautiful stadium.
“In Argentina, the stadium where I heard the fans the most was at Rosario Central’s, I remember a game that we were winning 1-0 and then the crowd started to support Rosario Central in an incredible way and they won 2-1. I think that was the toughest one. Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys have great fans.”
On picking the biggest venue he has ever played at he added:
“Wembley Stadium, in a friendly against Tottenham! It was my first year at Juve, and we came to play a friendly in London. It was incredible, a fantastic stadium. Being one of my first games for Juve and having the chance to play in that stadium was great.”
