Long-term Manchester United target denies agreeing a new deal

According to Spanish reports, Manchester United and Juventus target Jordi Alba has denied agreeing a new deal with Barcelona.

The Spain defender is believed to have been in talks with Barcelona over a new deal with his current contract expiring in June 2020.

Josep Maria Bartomeu said on Monday that the Catalans would offer the player a five-year contract and Cadena Ser reported on Wednesday that the experienced left-back had agreed to extend his contract until June 2024. (via TEAMtalk)

Although the defender has denied the news about contract extension after the 6-1 win over Sevilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

“Regarding the contract extension, there hasn’t been any change. They even said that I had renewed my contract but it’s not true what is being reported,” he told Diario AS.
