Liverpool youngster signs first professional contract after impressive displays for the Reds

Liverpool have announced youngster Kaide Gordon has signed his first professional contract with the club. The 17-year-old joined the Merseyside club at the start of this year after 10 years at his hometown club of Derby County. Gordon started his Liverpool career with the U18s squad before scoring for the U23s on his debut in Premier League 2 away at Leicester City in May. The youngster caught the eye of the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp when part of a group of Academy players who trained with the senior squad during pre-season, and featured in friendlies including the Anfield win over Osasuna and 4-3 defeat to Hertha Berlin.
