Liverpool are willing to sell the club centre-back Joel Matip to PSG in order to seal the transfer of Kalidou Koulibaly.
Napoli defneder has been heavily linked with the newly-crowned champions, as well as Manchester City. The Reds are eager to bring the 29-year-old to Anfield as a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva.
And according to journalist Angu Lesley, Jurgen Klopp's side are ready to sell Matip to the French club in order to make a move for Koulibaly.
Speaking to
The Football Terrace podcast, he said:
“We have a reporter in Naples that tries to check out everything on everything.
Over four weeks ago we did a story on Victor Osimhen moving to Napoli as a near certainty.
I think one thing is for sure. With the expenses of Napoli, bringing Osimhen to Naples, they must cash in this summer to balance the books.
And if you look at the properties on their books, Kalidou is the hottest property.
At this point in time, when you look at injuries and they bring in Kalidou for the same age, it’s not a bad deal for Liverpool and for Mr Klopp.”
