Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior as Jurgen Klopp sees him as the perfect successor to Sadio Mane.
According to
Real Madrid website Defensa Central, Klopp wants Vinicius because his physicality, pace, goal threat and work rate remind him of Mane.
The 21-year-old is viewed as the ideal replacement, however, Real Madrid want to pair him with Kylian Mbappe for years to come.
Mane is out of contract in 2023 and could be leaving Liverpool for nothing at the end of next season. Los Blancos don’t intend to sell Vinicius, with the Brazilian in fine form this season having hit 10 goals in 17 La Liga games.
The Reds may well fancy Vinicius having seen him torment Trent Alexander-Arnold last year in a 3-1 loss to Real.
The first goal came with Vinicius making a run between Alexander-Arnold and Nat Phillips before firing home. The second came as Vinicius peeled off a sleeping Alexander-Arnold to strike an effort past Alisson.
