Liverpool the 'unluckiest' club while Arsenal 5th in Premier League Lucky index table

Liverpool were the ‘unluckiest’ team in the Premier League last season. The Reds finished the season on 75 points but should have had 87. The study was conducted by ESPN, Intel and the University of Bath with the help of former Prem ref Peter Walton. They analysed footage of every game throughout the season and watched for any incorrect decisions including disallowed goals, penalties that shouldn't have been awarded, In contrast, Manchester United named the luckiest team as they gained six extra points from game incidents that wrongly went in their favour. Arsenal would have finished fifth if they had a little more luck with Chelsea dropping to the sixth position. However, even good luck wouldn't help Arsene Wenger's team to win a Champions league ticket.
