Liverpool tipped to sign Manchester United transfer target on key condition
Liverpool have been tipped to sign Aston Villa star Jack Grealish, should the club be relegated.
Aston Villa are currently 19th in the Premier League but have a game in hand on their relegation rivals.
Their captain Grealish has enjoyed an impressive campaign, reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United.
Yet according to Kevin Phillips, Liverpool are in the driving seat if they want to land Grealish.
"Liverpool are at a point where they can splash out on the world’s best," he told Football Insider. “Those world’s best players want to come and play for Liverpool and Klopp.
"He plays a certain style and he will not buy someone unless it plays his system. The obvious one is Jack Grealish. If Villa go down I am certain he will move on."
