Liverpool star begs for respect after trip to rubbish covered beach

Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren has begged people for respect after spending his day off on a local beach. On Tuesday he took to Instagram while walking on what is believed to be Formby beach. Lovren showed off the picturesque scenery before addressing the mountains of rubbish that have been left in the beauty spot over the last few days. In the clip, Lovren sounds discouraged as he explains why he is speaking out on the issue and showing how some people have left the beach behind them. He said: "Hi guys, we have just come to the beach on our day off and are walking and what I noticed, usually I don't talk about that but this time I will not keep quiet." He then added "what is this?" while showing piles of plastic bags and abandoned rubbish in the background.
"This is garbage. The sand is full of glass, glass pieces, bottles, plastic, everything. I mean, I cannot accept this. It is impossible to try to understand people who can leave their garbage. "You come with your friends, you come to the beach, you're having fun and then you just leave it there. Take the responsibility, we need to wake up. "We should work on ourselves, especially on our environment and about caring for each other. It's not only about the world, it's also about the animals and other people that we care about. "It is about my children, what if someone steps in that and cuts themselves? Guys, let's start to be serious, I beg you. "Wake up and think about your decisions because we should be a part of the solution today, not a part of the pollution. So think about it, and don't leave your dirty bags here and your dirty garbage." Lovren's emotional plea comes just days after Formby beach was left destroyed by visitors who left behind beer bottles, laughing gas canisters and rubbish. Source- Liverpool Echo
