Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as a possible alternative option to Timo Werner. The 23-year-old is likely to be allowed to leave Barcelona this summer having endured a frustrating time at the Camp Nou.
According to
Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have a long term interest in Dembele and are considering making a move for him this summer, as an alternative to RB Leipzig's Timo Werner, who has reportedly been the number one target for Jurgen Klopp.
There is also interest in Dembele from Serie A side Juventus, who also rate him highly. Reports also claim that despite signing Dembele for £96.8million, Barcelona could allow him to depart for just £37million.
Injuries have damaged Dembele's progress during his time at Barcelona, and he has featured just eight full 90 minute games during two-and-a-half seasons.
