Liverpool ready to launch shock move for Manchester City star to replace one player
Liverpool are ready to sign Manchester City star Raheem Sterling. The England international left Liverpool for City in 2015.
Sterling has won two Premier League titles under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, however, the winger's future remains uncertain.
City are locked in talks over a new contract for Sterling.
According to French newspaper L'Equipe, Sterling could end up back at Liverpool this summer.
They say the Reds are eyeing their former winger as a replacement for Sadio Mane should he leave for Real Madrid.
The England international recently hosted took control of the Instagram account of Colossal Sports Management, the agency that looks after his affairs.
Sterling was asked directly if he would return to Liverpool one day and he replied: “Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you I love Liverpool. Don’t get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It’s a team that done a lot for me growing up so…”
