Liverpool made a £29.5million bid for Nigeria star

Liverpool reportedly had a £29.5million bid for Samuel Chukwueze, however, Villarreal rejected it during the January transfer window. Barcelona legend Lionel Messi placed Chukwueze third in his vote for the Kopa Trophy, the award for players under 21 and help him to attract the attention from Liverpool and Chelsea. And Liverpool have been so impressed that they bid €35m (£29.5m) for him in January, according to France Football.
