Liverpool legend Steve Nicol names dream signing for Jurgen Klopp this summer

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol claims Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly would be a dream signing for Jurgen Klopp's side this summer, however, says the chances to get the player are little. The defender has been heavily linked with the move to Manchester City. Moreover, the Premier League club have already made contact with the Serie A side. Manchester United have also been among the clubs interested in the 29-year-old. Nicol thinks Koulubaly could make an impressive partnership with the club defender, Virgil van Dijk, but claims a deal will not happen because of the form of Joe Gomez this season. Former Reds man told ESPN FC: "Listen, I think in an ideal world you would like to have Koulibaly sat next to Virgil van Dijk, but it's never going to happen. "Gomez has actually done a really good job, just before the pandemic shutdown I thought he had gotten back to where he was before that bad injury 18 months ago. "But if I had a wishlist then I would wish that Koulibaly could be beside Virgil van Dijk."
