Liverpool join Manchester United in the race to sign versatile £45m midfielder

Liverpool are reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Denis Zakaria of Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer. Zakaria impressive performances have caught the attention of some of Europe’s elite clubs. United were in pole position to sign Zakaria. Bayern Munich have also registered a strong interest. According to SportBild, Premier League leaders Liverpool are also in the race to land Zakaria. Liverpool or United would have to spend around £45million to prise Zakaria away from Gladbach. Zakaria's deal with Monchengladbach expires in the summer of 2022. Source: Metro
