Liverpool are reportedly in advanced contract negotiations to sign Stefan Bajcetic from Celta Vigo, however, will face a race against time to get a deal over the line.
The Reds aren't believed to be busy in the January transfer window despite plenty of injuries Jurgen Klopp has had to deal with this season so far.
It was revealed on Tuesday that Liverpool had struck a deal with Birmingham to sign 15-year-old Calum Scanlon.
And Jurgen Klopp's side have now moved their attention to signing teenage Bajcetic, according to the Liverpool Echo. It is claimed talks are already taking place between Liverpool and Celta Vigo regarding a move for the young centre-back.
However, they must conclude a deal before the United Kingdom leaves the European Union on January 1. The Football Association confirmed earlier this month that Premier League and EFL clubs would not be able to sign foreign players under the age of 18 post-Brexit.
It means Liverpool have just a week to complete a deal to sign Bajcetic, who has impressed at youth level in Spain.
