Liverpool are set to welcome vice-captain James Milner and attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri back to the matchday squad for Sunday's clash with West Bromwich Albion in Anfield.
The Reds duo sustained injuries in November, with Milner limping off in the 1-1 draw at Brighton with a hamstring complaint and Shaqiri not seen since the draw at Manchester City earlier in the month.
And now both Milner and Shaqiri are back to trainings and are fit to play. Speaking on Christmas Eve, head coach Jurgen Klopp said:
“Shaq trained really good and Millie, yesterday full session, today then a little bit adapted.
“It is a new situation for us; we have still two more training days until we have to make decisions. It looks good, but I don’t know.”
