Timo Werner says he’s “proud” to be linked with the “best team in the world” Liverpool. Werner has long been linked with a move to Anfield and he was in action for RB Leipzig in the Champions League. The Germany international was on the scoresheet in the first leg of the last 16 tie as he scored a penalty against Tottenham. After the match, he was asked for his opinion on Liverpool’s transfer interest. "Yes I know that Liverpool is the best team in the world at the moment," Werner said on ViasportFotball. "When you're linked with that team it makes you very proud but in case of that, it's a pleasure, but I know Liverpool have a lot of good players.
