Liverpool fans have singled out Xabi Alonso and Sami Hyypia that were missing from their side’s ultimate Premier League XI as decided by BBC Sport.
The Reds ultimate XI includes the likes of Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Robbie Fowler and John Barnes, with current stars Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk doing enough to be included.

However, Liverpool faithful have been strongly debating the selections on a
Reddit message board, and it is the names of Xabi Alonso and Sami Hyypia that have been pointing out as replacements for Javier Mascherano and Jamie Carragher respectively.
“Hyypia > Carra and Xabi > Masch," said one fan.
“Not sure about Carragher, he was a good defender but was never world class IMO," added another.
“Unless they're taking time served I would pick Sami Hyypia over him.”
And a third then wrote:
“Love Carra but I think Hyypia was better at his peak.”
