Liverpool star Virjil Van Dijk was played in Holland’s 3-0 win over Germany and even netted the opener for his side in the Nations League match. Latest claims have emerged that Virgil van Dijk is being constantly injected to enable him to play through the pain barrier. Van Dijk was expected to miss the match but he was played and now have been sent back to Anfield. He will miss Holland’s international friendly with Belgium on Tuesday night, and will not represent his country in anymore games this month. Van Dijk has of course been playing with the injury for Liverpool, fighting through the pain barrier against the likes of Manchester City and Napoli. But Liverpool fans are still frustrated that Koeman selected him to play. On Twitter one wrote: "If it's true he has two broken ribs then no way should he have played international matches at all." Another added: "Koeman certainly likes the sound of his own voice. Did no one ask him why he picked him for the Dutch squad then?"
