Liverpool eye move for another Klopp favourite as an alternative to Timo Werner

Liverpool are eyeing a move for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele as an alternative to Timo Werner, according to 90min. The Reds have been linked with a move for the RB Leipzig star for several weeks. However, they are reportedly unwilling to pay his release clause, which is around £50million. Liverpool want to pay closer to £40million for the striker as they know that his release clause drops to £36million in the summer of 2021. The Reds reportedly see Dembele as an alternative to Werner. Barcelona are apparently happy to either sell the winger for around £50million or let him leave on loan for a season. Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Dembele. They say that the German recommended the winger to Dortmund in 2015 and that he would be excited to work with the French star.
