Liverpool could sign Ajax wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sports Witness. Wijnaldum’s contract expires at the end of June and he is unwilling to agree to the current extension offer that the Reds have tabled. The Netherlands international is said to believe he warrants a pay packet more reflective of his status in the squad.

Ajax wonderkid Gravenberch, who is still only 18, is already a key player in a very good Ajax side. Gravenberch could be available for only €35m this summer, and he could be the perfect replacement for Wijnaldum if Liverpool need to make a move.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato claims, AZ Alkmaar midfielder Koopmeiners is the latest player to pop up on Liverpool’s radar. The AZ captain has scored 17 goals and laid on seven assists in 37 matches this season having also netted 16 times last term, including four goals from centre-back in the final three pre-lockdown matches.
