Liverpool ‘agree transfer’ of record-breaking midfielder

Liverpool have reportedly agreed to sign record-breaking midfielder Harvey Elliott. Elliott is the youngest player ever to have played in the Premier League, and the England U17 player has decided to leave Fulham this summer. He has attracted interest from around European football, with the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig interested in the young Englishman. The 16-ear-old has picked Liverpool as his next club and the Reds are now thrashing out terms over a ‘significant’ compensation package with Fulham for the midfielder. Despite his age, Elliott has drifted between Fulham's Under-18 and Under-23 team for the past few seasons. He became the youngest player to make an appearance for the Whites at 15 years and 174 days in their Carabao Cup win over Millwall last season. He later became the Premier League's youngest player when he came on aged just 16 and 30 days against Wolves. Elliott will become the second sought-after teenager to join Liverpool this summer, after the Reds secured a deal for Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg.
