Lionel Messi steals another Champions league goalscoring record from Cristiano

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi scored a goal to move one clear of Cristiano Ronaldo as the most prolific goalscorer for a single club in Champions League history. Messi’s 106th strike in the competition eclipsed Ronaldo’s tally for Real Madrid in the Champions League 105. On the record, Messi said: "I am delighted, I have just found out now. I am happy with this new stat." The 2-1 victory against PSV Eindhoven sends Barcelona through as winners of Group B, with Tottenham and Inter Milan still battling for a place in the last 16.
