Lewis Hamilton warns F1 title rivals: “I'll get stronger from here”

Lewis Hamilton has warned Formula 1 title rivals that he is going to get stronger after French Grand Prix win. Hamilton finished 18 seconds clear of his closest rival, Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas. The Briton secured his sixth win of the season from just eight races. Five-times world Champion now holds a 36-point lead at the top of the standings and ahead of the race in Austria, he said: “I know people might not want to hear it, but it is going to get stronger from here. I can’t believe it has been as good a season already, particularly as I felt I really struggled in the first few races, trying to get on top of the car. “The races have been strong, but in qualifying and practice I have been really struggling to put my finger on where the performance was and how to extract that, but I’m getting there. It is switching the mentality to always be fighting. There is never a moment you shouldn’t be pushing and the moment you sit back is the moment you lose.”

Lewis Hamilton: “We are creating history together and so proud to be part of this team. I am hot”
