Lewis Hamilton says it is “shocking” that Formula 1’s Australian Grand Prix is going ahead amid the coronavirus pandemic. McLaren confirmed it has withdrawn from the Australian GP after a team member tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, while eight other personnel have also been tested and returned negative results. Australian GP organisers and F1 officials are currently holding talks over the next steps with a decision on whether the race will go ahead, postponed or cancelled expected imminently. "I am really very, very surprised that we're here," six-time world champion Hamilton told reporters. "I think motorsport, I think it's great that we have races but for me, it's shocking that we're all sitting in this room.
