Lewis Hamilton opens up on his relationship with father

Lewis Hamilton and his father Anthony have had a rollercoaster of a relationship with each other. Hamilton won his sixth F1 title last year and there is no doubt that he wouldn’t have got to where he is without his dad. "Our journey hasn't been an easy one," said Mercedes driver Hamilton on social media. "Over time, we lost that father-son bond and it has been something we have both wanted back for so long." The six-time world champion said: "The past couple years we've been growing closer and this winter break I asked my dad to come to visit me so we could spend some time together, just us. "We haven't done this before, so to finally get to spend quality time with him has brought me so much happiness. "Family is the most important thing in the world.
